A Little Love Note Shaped Card | Henry Twila Valentine Stamp Set
Posted by DESIGN TEAM
Hello crafty friends; it's Rick back with you again today to share another project with you from the January release. Today I have a fun, unexpected shaped card to share with you that's perfect for Valentine's Day or any occasion that you want to create a fun card for. To create the main focal images for my card today I picked the Henry Twila Valentine Stamp Set.
I couldn't pick which of the images to feature on my card. So, I had to stamp and color them both. I then did a little fussy cutting to cut out the images. Once I had them all cut out I could work on my card design. For the shaped aspect of the design you can pick any nesting shaped dies that fits your theme. I picked hearts since I was making a Valentine's Day Card. The next thing you have to do is pick your card size. I picked to do a 5 x 7 card today. The easiest thing that I found was to lay out your design onto a piece of cardstock or copy paper cut to the size that you want your finished project to be.
Once you have that figured out you have to decided how big your card base is. I just took a 5" x 7" piece of cardstock and scored it in half to make my card base. Then all I had to do was attach all the die cut shapes to the front of the card base. All while working inside of my card template that was to size. You can even space your shapes out a little to have some gaps between them. As long as none of the elements went out side of that piece of copy paper I knew I was okay. So, I could stamp my sentiments onto a couple of the hearts once the glue had dried, and I could add my sweet little couple from the Henry Twila Valentine Stamp Set. All I have to do is pop it into a 5 x 7 envelope and my unique shaped card is ready to send.
I hope that you have a fantastic day and do something crafty today.
Rick
