Clean & Simple Character Card with Shamy Stamp Set

Hello crafty friends, it's Rick back with you again this week to share a clean and simple card design using the brand new Shamy Stamp Set from the March 2026 Release.  For this card I wanted to keep things clean simple and easy.  I matched the coloring of the image from the Shamy Stamp Set to a piece of pattern paper from my stash. This is one of my favorite ways to come up with color combos.

By picking your pattern paper before you start coloring you can match your copics or other alcohol markers to your pattern paper for a cohesive look instead of coloring the image and hunting for the perfect pattern paper.  I stamped our little guy from the Shamy Stamp Set onto a piece of smooth white cardstock and colored him using my Copic markers that I matched to the bold plaid pattern paper I had picked out.

I kept the rest of the card clean and simple. This way I knew the coloring and two strips of pattern paper would create the focal image for my card design.  I shared the coloring process in this week's video below.

I hope that you find some inspiration from today's card and that you will give this clean and simple design a try.  If you haven't picked up any of the products from the March 2026 release yet, I highly suggest popping over and checking out the four new sets.

Happy Crafting

Rick
