May Preview Day 1: Cutie Birds and Clouds & Grasses Stencil

Hello, and welcome to day 1 of our May previews. Today we are previewing a super cute new set called Cutie Birds. It is a clear stamp set that has coordinating Outline Dies that you can purchase separately.

Card #1 I created a scene with the new Clouds & Grasses Stencils and Copic Markers. The little flowers are from the Spring Things Clear Stamp Set, which I stamped in tan ink so I could do no line coloring so they looked like they were part of the scene. I free handed the trees and leaves. I used the hilly grass on the stencil to do the grass, and then used the big clouds on the stencil to do the sky.

Card #2 has the adorable bird with star antennas on. He just looks so happy to me. I used the Birthday Dots Stencil to do the background behind him. Used the stars from the Trio Collage Die and the banner is from the Banners Die set. I finished off this simple card with Razzle Dazzle Clear Enamel Dots.

Card #3 features this sweet as can be little bird. I think she would be perfect for baby girl cards. I used the outer die from the In & Out Oval Die to center the card and then put the little bird off to the right. I then used the flag and heart from the Trio Collage Die. I cut the heart out of pink cardstock and then used Copics to add shading.

Card #4 is Mr. Brainiac, isn't he just the cutest with the glasses? When I colored him I added BG10 to the glasses area to give it more of a glass look, and then added a few lines of white Uniball Pen to give the glare of glasses. I used the limb from the Monkey Clear Set. I did the no line coloring after I stamped the limb right on my white cardstock. I then used the stencil to add the blue sky, which created the white clouds. I stamped the sentiment on the cardstock and finished with Razzle Dazzle Shiny Enamel Dots.

Card #5 is our little teal bird on a teal tag. I had started this tag to use with another image but the bird was just the perfect color. I used the Tags Galore Die and the In & Out Circle Die. I made the bow using the smaller bow die from Bows Die. And finished it up with Dragon Dreams Enamel Dots.
