Mix and Match Stamp Sets - Spring Card feat C.C. Designs April & May and Spring Things

Hi everyone! It's Laura here and today I am back with a cute Spring card I created with the C.C. Designs April & May and Spring Things stamp sets! I love mixing and matching different stamp sets: it's a great way to stretch your supplies, and these two work great together! At the end of this post you will find a video tutorial showing how to create this card!

For the background I did some ink blending with Distress Oxides in Worn Lipstick and Spun Sugar over a panel of Bristol Smooth Cardstock. I used the Mini Hearts Stencil and Nuvo Glimmer Paste in Moonstone to add texture and sparkle and put the background aside to dry.

I then created a DIY stencil by die cutting some acetate with the Cloud and Grass dies and used it to create an ink blended sky. I used Distress Oxides in Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass. To add some subtle shimmer I brushed the panel with Perfect Pearls in the color Perfect Pearl.

For the grass borders I used the Cloud and Grass dies and Distress Oxides in Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron. I spritzed them with water and then die cut both the grassy borders and the sky with the In & Our Circles.

I then started working on the images from the C.C. Designs April & May and Spring Things stamp sets. I stamped them with Scrapbook.com Premium Hybrid Black Ink on Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock and then die cut them with the coordinating dies.

I stamped the sentiment on a strip of white cardstock and glued everything on an A2 card base. I raised the scene and the sentiment over one layer of foam tape and added some finishing touches with a Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Pen, Glossy Accents and Nuvo Drops in Simply White.
As I mentioned I filmed a video tutorial showing you how to create this cute spring card. You can watch it down below or on my YouTube channel.

And that's it for today! I really hope you enjoyed this post and liked the video and I hope I inspired you to create with these adorable stamps by C.C. Designs!
Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!
