Hi friends! Rick here, and I’m so happy to be popping in on the C. C. Designs blog today to share this sweet and simple winter card. For this project, I reached for theLet It Snow Stamp Set, which has quickly become one of those sets I keep coming back to when I want something cozy and charming. The character Elisa has such a gentle expression, and she really shines when paired with soft coloring and a calm winter background. I love projects like this because they remind me that winter cards don’t have to be dark or heavy—sometimes light, airy, and playful is the perfect approach.
I kept the design clean and approachable so the stamp set could take center stage. Using colored pencils allowed me to build soft layers of color while still keeping lots of natural highlights, which works beautifully with winter images. One of my favorite little pro tips for cards like this is to add subtle splatter and a few small embellishments to guide the eye without overwhelming the focal image. A simple greeting and a few snowy accents finish everything off while still leaving plenty of white space for a polished, professional look. This is the kind of card that feels relaxing to create and is perfect for sending a cheerful hello and a bit of handmade warmth during the winter season.
