SHOW SIDEBAR
You Are Snow Cute

Hello crafty friends: it's Rick back with you again today to share another project with you.  Today I am sharing a cute little card using the Winter Mice Stamp Set.

For my card today I created a simple winter scene.  I stamped and colored the mouse on skates and the mouse nibbling on the cookie from the Winter Mice Stamp Set.  Once I had the two images colored I did a little fussy cutting for the mice.  I also took a pencil and a scrap of white cardstock and sketched out a simple snow mound.  I used my paper snips to cut underneath the sketched line.

I added a little ink blending to the snow mound to add a little color and shadow to the snow.  I then took an a2 card front and cut it down to 4" x 5 1/4" and used some snowflake rub-ons from my stash to add to the background.  I attached the card front to a top folding A2 card base.  I then popped up the snow mound up on the card front with foam adhesive and then added the two mice.  I placed the skating mouse in the back and the little girl mouse in the foreground as if she was watching him skate around.

To finish of the card I added my sentiment that I cut into a small strip and did a little fussy cutting around the heart at the end for a simple decorative touch.  I then added just a few white gel pen highlights.  And to take the card to the next level I added a little gold stitching detail around the card front with a gold gel pen.  Thanks for dropping by today I hope that you have a wonderful new year.

Rick
