January Preview Day 2: Cutie Bugs Clear Stamps

Day 2 brings us the cutest little bugs ever! They were so fun to color and create cards with.

Card 1 has the bumblebee bug. I colored him up with Copic Markers and added Stickles to the wings. I cut him out with the Cutie Bugs Outline Die and attached him to the In & Out Oval Die.

I used the Honeycomb Stencil with matte embossing paste to make the background. I scooped out some of the paste and then sprinkled glitter on it. I mixed it up a little bit before I smeared it on the stencil

Lately I have been doing a lot of heat embossing the sentiments. I really like how white stand out so well on black cardstock. And of course I had to add a heart to the card.

The 2nd card is the butterfly bug. I thought she would look so cute in pink. I didn't do a lot of shading on her, instead I added stickles to the spots on the body and wings.

I used the left over parts of the In & Out Oval Die from bumblebee on the butterfly card. The dies make it so easy to make clean and simple cards. The ribbon was yellow to start with, but I took the pink Copic Marker and went over it to create the pink color.

Again I embossed the sentiment, this time white powder on gray cardstock.  And to finish the card I added Dragon Dream Enamel Dots.

The 3rd card is the love bug. He got so excited he got wrapped up in ribbon. With this card I went Birthday themed and used the sentiment "Happy Bug-thday".

The balloon and cupcake are from the Valentine Animals Clear Set. I colored them with Copics to match the bug, which was die cut with the Outline Die. The flag and heart are from the Trio Collage Die. I used a white pen to add dots to the flag.

The cupcake was stamped on the In & Out Circle Die. And the frame that everything is attached to is from the Quad Collage Die.
