July Preview Day 1: August & September, Ink Pads
Posted by CHRISTINE WOODEN
Hello, and welcome to day 1 of our July previews. Today we are previewing the next installment of our bi-monthly releases. It is a clear stamp set that has coordinating Outline Dies that you can purchase separately.
Card #1 features the adorable bunny with the pencil, I just love his little glasses. I used Sugar Cookie Ink to stamp the pencils and did no-line coloring. Sugar Cookie Ink is a nice light color that is perfect for no-line coloring, I had this color created just for the no-line coloring.
Once I got the pencils colored I then layered with yellow and gray cardstock. Added a couple of banners in the gray and a hot pink cardstock, which I used to make the pencil image pop. I used one the banners from our new Large Banner Die set, and just cut it in half. I stamped the sentiment on the banner using the new Black Olive Ink Pad. And then I centered the main image with a scalloped circle die.
Card #2 is fall themed. When I was drawing this set I wanted to make sure I added a Scarecrow, I believe this is the first time I have drawn a Scarecrow. He even has a little crow friend on his straw hat. The pumpkin and patches are from the set and I cut them out with the August & September Outline Die.
I used the smallest banner in the new Large Banner Die set and cut out the dark brown cardstock. I used the third new ink pad, Embossing Ink. OMG!!! I am in love with this ink pad, the pad is nice and juicy, and it stamps so nicely. We also have the embossing pad in a 1" cube which makes it so convenient when doing sentiments. I also stamped with the embossing ink on the yellow cardstock with the leaves from the set and used white powder.
