[Video] Easy Shaker Card and Matching Tag with Laura

Hi everyone! It's Laura here, and today I am back with a super fun shaker card plus a matching tag - and a video tutorial showing how to make them too! The stamp set I used is the adorable Monkeys stamp set, part of the latest C.C. Designs release, which I paired it with papers from the Razzle Dazzle collection.

I started by creating the front of my shaker. I picked two designs from the Razzle Dazzle Paper Pad, trimmed one of them to 4.25 by 5.5 " and the other to 2 x 5.5". I glued them together and used the same papers and the Baggie and Tag metal die to create the elements I needed for the tag.

For the shaker window I used the In&Out Rectangle dies. I used the same die to cut some white cardstock and layered the scalloped frames to create a dimensional frame for my shaker window.

I created the shaker background with Nuvo Shimmer Powder in Solar Flare on some Tim Holtz Watercolor cardstock and moved on to my images. As mentioned, these are part of the Monkeys stamp set. I stamped them with Scrapbook.com Premium Hybrid Black ink on Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock and colored them with Spectrum Noir markers.

I die cut the images with the coordinating dies and assembled my shaker. I used yellow sequins as my shaker elements, and glued everything on a top-folding A2 card base. I adhered the sentiment banners and the monkeys on one layer of foam tape, and did the same on my tag.

I decorated both the card and the tag with some more yellow sequins and, as finishing touches, I coated the birthday balloon with a Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay pen first, and then with glossy accents.

As I mentioned, I created a video tutorial showing how to make this fun and easy shaker card. And, if you want more cardmaking and papercrafting inspiration, make sure to subscribe to the C.C. Designs channel!

And that's it for today! I really hope you liked the post and enjoyed the video, and I hope I inspired you to create with the C.C. Designs Monkeys stamp set!
Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Laura

This card is my favorite out of all projects. Maybe I’ll win the release and be able to give it and others in the blog a go. Tyfs!
